Description
Transformers Prime has all sorts of awesome re-designs for characters and new designs for ones we've never seen before. Arcee got a sweet new motorcycle design and has been beating up the clunky Vehicons since the first episode! Well that changes now with the addition of my custom Motorcycle Vehicon, or Cyclocon I guess you could call them. Cyclocon 2.0 was created using the RID Arcee mold and utilizes a Sniper rifle that can be held or mounted on the backpack wheel turret. She has arm blades courtesy of a movie satellite Soundwave and her 'heelies' flip out so she can make a quick escape in robot mode.Want to own this custom or one like it? I think I'm sold on this being a femme vehicon of it had appeared in the show! I like how much different it looks from your first Cyclcocon, not to mention it looks like she has bat wings! I really like the idea of those wheels as feet, and I like the addition of the Sniper rifle. Pretty much everything about this is awesome! However, I thought the rifle was some type of machine gun at first~

I would love to make one of these but I see that the two necks are different, how did you overcome that obstacle?

Wow, that figure is amazing! I've been wanting to make some figures of my original characters, but I don't know how I'd do the heads. Any tips?

I'd like to give this a shot myself. Was the head replacement just a pop and switch? I don't have a PRID Arcee yet, so I don't have a point of reference.

Jin-Saotome In reply to Variable-Edge [2013-06-11 18:17:06 +0000 UTC]
The head needs to be trimmed at the bottom and hollowed out more to switch it. Also you'll need to remove some of her black plastic back frame so that the head sits deeper inside her chest before the chestplate can cover it up in jet mode.

My favorite part too! I need to buy two more Arcees and take one back tire apart and replace the front tire of the other one with it. That way you could completely remove the front tire, halve it, and combine it with the back tires.

I have to say that I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks your ingenuity to achieve the exact look you want is absolutely impressive. No matter how subtle or grand the detail, you manage to get the right piece(s) you need. A trait that can be easily overlooked, but is always appreciated by those who can spot it out

I have a Bootleg Transformer I bought from a dollar store, yeah I know its technically not a real transformers, but I like to customize it to look like one or at least make it one. What should I do with it?

question, is there some trick to dismantling Arcee? I tried to take her apart for a Flamewar custom but it looks like a large portion of her torso is glued together, do you do this in one piece or is there some kind of approach you use to get the torso apart?

Jin-Saotome In reply to Wakeangel2001 [2013-04-28 18:07:39 +0000 UTC]
You can't get most of her apart, it's pinned together with metal pins that are heat sealed in. Just pop off her ball jointed parts to make it easier but leave everything else together.

I mean I used Aves Apoxie sculpt, a 2-part self hardening modeling compound to fill in the gap and make a full chest there.

Real cool!
You know, the Vehicons look awesome but to me they almost ruin TFP because they are constantly depended on for super important jobs as though they were in any way competent, yet they have never proven to be anything but useless. I guess that's what disposable drone armies are for, but TFP makes it silly.

For some reason this custom reminds me of Tarantulas from Beast Wars but I have no idea why. Amazing work by the way.
