When Snape died, did he simply want to look into Harry's (=Lily's) green eyes? Or is it that while his consciousness diminished he thought that Lily was in front of him and begged her to look at him? What do you think?
In Japanese version it is clearly latter, because "Look at me" was translated in somewhat child-like way of calling for someone, which shows that in his mind Snape was back in his childhood.

What is so tragic about how Snape had died is, Snape knew that Harry -who he looked after and saved for years in order not to waste Lily's death- was going to die soon too. He had to sacrifice his life for what he never wished for.
I believe that after the Battle Snape's body was carried out of the Shrieking Shack and was buried with dignity in a tomb, next to Dumbledore's.
