Hi Jane! (I'm that Hunter X Hunter girl from Tekkoshocon )
This is an amazing piece of work . I'm not sure if it's supposed to, but to me the guy on the ground is like 'will you come with me?' and the guy on the sill looks pretty nervous/shocked, and like he's fiddling with his hands...and possibly sliding off the ledge (and that's awesome). You captured a lot of emotion into it. Plus it's about a 10000x better modernization of Romeo and Juliet than that one with guns and gangsters in it XD. I'd definitely watch this one (although I ended up watching that one too).

thanks for the comment+fav! This is actually drawn with conte on a gesso+ acrylic paint ground, though.

Holy carp.
Yes, carp.
I'm sorry I can't offer crit, cos I can't see a damn thing wrong with it, and I'm not an art student or expert.

I love it!! This one really highlights your strong drawing technique. I'm very impressed with the sitting figures pants. You've captured the lighting and the form so well. Above all I admire this twist on such a classic scenario.

Ahhhhh thank you!!! I spent the least time on the pants, strangely, but i think it has something to do with the conte itself. I admit, the hardest part was choosing to do this one, but obviously you get two decent looking guys within 20 feet of each other and you know where my thoughts wander. I got better pics so the underpainting is much more visible, and I think that the title would be more apparent

wow jane. this is very impressive. the figure on the right is on point. but i gotta say that the other figure's head looks like its floating due to the light on his neck. great angle tho

haha yeah i think it's because the contour of the jawline is closed. If I left it open, it'd probably be more connected to the body.
