Hmm.. i thought i pretty put in effort in this... thus it shall be in the gallery! XDAnyway, still trying to achieve this.. "lineless painting" sorta.
Its better than the 1st one i did... i guess XD Still got loads to learn.Am trying to be more daring in whacking in shadows and colors...!

XD Painting "lineless" stuff is hard.. eps redefingin them.. X_X I tend to screw up.. heh~
No.. i haven't really done any real painting as of yet.. althought i hope i could try one day! The only painting i tired is Water Colors... but my water colros are really pretty thick.. XD XD Looks more liek gouache... XP

You should have a go at acrylics (or even oils, they're my favorite, but more expensive) painting is so different than coloring, it's really a helpful experience. But besides that I think you're doing great anyway.

Ah, this turned out nicely indeed! Only thing I can see that could touch up on is the underside of her hat, could be darker all around to match the shadow on her face.

Lineless painting is a pain in the REAR. I'm currently trying to draw some sort of portrait, but I get lost without the lines to guide me at all times. But, I guess it's a good skill to learn.
Anyway, I have to say I like the general color schemes that you choose for your images. They always look very nice. As for this one in particular, I like the little rosy spots on her cheeks and nose, and the eyes too. Looks nice.

XD Actually i did scan in my work and paint under it, take it off afetr wards and redefine them... XD Its still a painful job, tho!!
