Old project, finished today. Done with the MS Paint colors.Castle of the Winds is a really really old PG game.
I always thought about a remake, so... here it is!

I'm doing a browser/mobile remake (game.castleofthewinds.com ) of this game and came upon this collection of art. It would be awesome to use your version of instead of the original graphics in my remake. Let me know if you'd be interested in touching up the items, buildings, tiles as well. The remake is open source at: github.com/mordrax/cotwelm and I plan to release it under a MIT license. Currently, I'm just using the original art and I plan to ask Rick for permission to use it if I ever finish...

It sounds awesome! Please feel free to use the ones I made. But, if possible, please give me the credit for it in the game.
As for doing other graphics, I'm currently open for commissions. If it's something you're willing to invest, just let me know! (I'd algo like to revisit some of these, since they're from almos 6 years ago).

Way too late to even reasonably be commenting this, but wow is that skin gray. The colors are absolutely beautiful, but everyone and everything looks very gray.

Just stumbled across these. Clearly your art skills are way ahead of mine! 32x32 pixels is pretty limiting! It's fun playing Neverwinter and seeing how much the state of the art has improved.

It really is for what it took to make it. The fact the developer made it all free to download, even after only charging about $15 for the second part, is nothing short of epic.
Good portion of my early years went into the frustration of completing it and I'll still play it years from now.
So did you make this for a new build of the game? Or just out of fun.

I was ADDICTED to this game back in the day!
I was especially intrigued by the Jotuns, animated statues, elementals and (to a lesser extent) devils.

Nunca joguei Castle of Winds especificamente, mas gostei bastante da forma como você usou a paleta (que color ramps difíceis!) na releitura.
Você pegou as cores default do MSPaint? É isso?

Sim, as cores são padrão do MSPaintXP ou <.
De fato, os ramps foram meio complicados nos primeiros sprites, mas depois eu peguei o jeito, hehehe.
Pretendo fazer mais coisas com essas cores.
