I've never really watched Star Trek, but I recognize the guy really well. It's a shame man died ... it's really hard to say wether 83 is much or not though. Did he live long or just enough ? When is it enough really?

Thank you very much! As for livinf long "enough", it's really hard to know. I guess humanity will always be unsatisfied about how long they live and will always mourn their deaths. Especially the iconic ones, because they/we don't follow their aging and it's always a surprise when the time comes.
As for me, I honestly think I'll never be satisfied about how soon will be my death, or better, how long I will live.
As a species, I think the self-preservation is really strong on us. So, no, I guess it's never enough.

I totally agree with you. It's pretty much the same when it comes to your family or close friends. You know they are there for you to help, to talk with you. One assume they will never go away, and although many years or even decades pass, you still doesn't seem to notice the amount of time slipping through your fingers. You wake up the very moment it is too late. It's pretty sad, but unfortunately true.
BTW I must admit I didn't expect such a long and honest reply from you. Not many DA users reply and you seem to be always kind of ... affordable. Thank you for it
