a quick CG of Halsé remembering the last thing that killed it. (was trying to practice some color theory)

the story behind this pic (as if anyone cares really)
is that Halsé was once an ordinary new zealand short tailed bat who hailed from the last few years of WWII. it was owned by some dude from england who got it as a present from their new zealand relative. that dude was unfortunate enough to be one of the victims of the Blitz . it died trying to save its owner by delivering a message from them by wing (while sustaining fatal injuries from the incident) telling the rescuers that he was still alive and where he was buried.

the night that halsé died, felice lé strange visited it to claim its body to be used as a "costume" (material felice sews into herself to transform) felice made a deal with halsé that in exchange for halsé's body, felice will give it a chance to talk to its owner for the last time. halsé used this chance to tell its owner to man up, forget them (halsé) and move on with life; that that is what it wanted when it sacrificed itself - to give it a second chance.

the next morning after the supposed "visit", halsé's owner woke up to see that its grave was dug up.

tl;dr generic "this is what my dog did" story.

halsé may just be felice with bat bits sewn on, but sometimes, the bat bits remember their past....and sometimes, they seem conscious too.
