Gajeel could have fought him right? I mean he is powered up with his iron shadow dragon magic. Plus, I don't think he had a very hard time in his fight with Rouge.
This would also be a chance for him to prove that he is also almost as strong as Natsu.

Exactly! I mean, Gray could not have possibly fought since he was badly injured from his battles with Rufus and Lyon. Erza is literally half dead after her battles with the strongest female mages.
Laxus fought a wizard saint so he is out. Juvia is not I suppose too strong but she did not sustain too much injuries with her battles (or atleast should not have). Gajeel fought Rogue and powered up. So he and Juvia should be able to fight right? (Also, Natsu fought BOTH Sting and Rogue and won)
