i know you're surely getting tons of messages, but i'd be glad if you'd find the time to answer my question, because i'm thinking of starting making buttons myself..
here it is: you're making these cute buttons with anime/manga characters, and you sell them on a online store or at conventions.. but what about the copyrights on the characters? i mean, is it legal to do so?

from what i learned from going to cons, its a grey area with most anime shows. there are certain character where the rightful owners explicitly states the no fanart and $ rule. AKA Disney! but besides that its okay for now.
for example japans, comik ket is a massive doujin market.
