I used two analog lenses, of which one was reversed.

Thanks! I have no idea actually. I guess it's a common European garden spider, and these are completely harmless.

The level of venom a spider possesses cannot be measured simply by whether it spins a web or not. Arboreal and terrestrial spiders/tarantulas can both have venom. The degree of toxicity depends on what it's species and genus says.

Yes, this is a harmless garden spider. And a very pretty one at that :]

Lovely shot!

well yes the spider was branched out from the widow's family,it wasn't as bad as the widow it's self but i was in the emergency room for about 3 hours, but in all it was a very nice shot.

That is unfortunate to hear.. Widow's have nasty little bites =[ Sorry for jumping on the defense, it's just that after years of collecting tarantulas and true spiders, it irks me when I see a comment that generalizes them. I meant no harm =]

Beautiful, I really like the colors and lighting! I also admire your bravery to shoot that, I probably woulda ended up actually shooting it - without a camera though haha(:

Hahaha thanks! Luckily no arachnophobia here, because the lens was almost touching the spider.
