Here's another character I designed 21 years ago. This time, it's my personal character Amberly. She shares the same birthday as me, so I guess this is birthday art for myself? lol Amberly is just a combination of my first and middle names: Amber Lea.

The story behind her is that I used to draw comics when I was 10 til probably when I was about 13 or so. They were pretty much inspired by the Archie Sonic comics, but instead I designed characters based on my friends and people I knew and used them in the comics as the cast (I think I still have some of the comics around the house somewhere. They are always good for laughs ). One night when I was at a sleepover and helping come up with a character design for one of my friends, she asked why I didn't have my own Sonic character, so I designed Amberly that night.

As you can see, Amberly pretty much looks like Sara. They are actually cousins, with Amberly being 10 days younger than Sara. Because they *do* look alike, Amberly will sometimes fill in around the palace when Sara needs a break.
