If Elfquest is the fanart I love to draw the most, Sailor Moon is the second. I haven't done a Sailor Moon fanart in ages so I was really dying to do something. This is just a little taste, the full painting isn't finished, and I've been saving it out step by step which I'll post eventually too...I feel like every 8th grade girl with 5 friends has assigned themselves a character to "be"...I was totally Serena, so I've always had a soft spot for her.
Oh, but if you're 26 and want to watch the episodes again on youtube. Don't. Watch the Japaneese versions instead.

I was Sailor Venus... But man I've itching for those days of fanart again. Haven't had enough courage to upload anything. Oh to be young again haha! Being a serious adult sucks.

You should! Amongst the desire to make new Sailor Moon fanart, I have some old, old terrible stuff from 8th grade. But there's something kinda refreshing about it, too. I was really bold in my art back then. I don't think I could "see" how bad I was when I first started drawing, so I wasn't afraid to draw crazy poses or perspective and stuff I just did it. And it looked bad, but I didn't stress. lol.
Yeah, adultishness does suck sometimes. But just think, we have seniority to look forward too.

I know exactly what you mean. In junior high I was making art for myself and fanart, and yeah I tried a lot of stuff! If only I could return to that free-ness.

Yeah, just the free-ness though, since I also used to draw all my guys headless, with the intention to get better at drawing males and then fill in the heads.
...never happened.
It's amazing how un-romantic a picture can be when one side looks like a guillotine survivor.

Certainly not until after March....Probably a while after. The actual piece is meant to be a full figure, and I just decided that I hate the legs, so I have to re-draw them....and the background's not done yet either. boo.

Or you can break your brain in interesting new ways and watch subs of the live action version they did. Power Rangers meet Sailor Moon... and it's no "Elfquest" but it's not bad.

The eyes are actually what bug me the most, I blocked them in really dark, and then remember that she had light blue eyes...so now they kinda look too light and creepy...kinda like she's wearing colored contacts.
