Yeah. Me, , and were all talking about previous drama plots the other day, and I realized I'd never done Gamu's Mew design. (Although she never -did- transform "on screen" during the whole arc.) So, after much deliberation, I finally settled on one.

The big thing here is the symbolism. What set this whole thing off was wanting to be the same, yet different from Ichi.
An' that's it. I thought it was impossible to get friends, a home, some attention once in a while. An' yet she has so many things she doesn't even want, things most people can't even dream about. *glare* She... She's cute an' likable an' has legions of fans around the city. So many people look up to 'er, but she just wants to be normal. An' even though she's strong an' powerful an' can take care of herself, no one'll ever tell 'er that nobody likes her for that.
So I incorporated that into every aspect of the design. I might have gone a -little- overboard with making Ichi's symbol upside down and backwards on the pendant, but if it works... *shrug*

And look, you can see her scars. Now you can tell which one's the bad arm! (Because I always forget. *bricks self*)

The colours. THE COLOURS. It took forever to decide on them, and I kept changing my mind.
-I knew I had to change the hair and eye colour to be a different shade of purple, but it looked like the hair hadn't changed at all, so I put her real hair colour as the background. It's darker than you'd think, isn't it?
-I went through about five options for the outfit. I ended up hitting myself for not going with the norm (no pun intended, of course) and making the outfit purple, but purple just didn't work for what I was trying to do. I seriously considered white, but ended up making that the trim. Red went better with the warped-Ichi thing, both cosmetically and looking deeper at what the two represent in opposition. (Anger, passion, not afraid to get your hands dirty...) The white does help, though, with the whole death-of-self thing...
-I know when she was originally cursed for a day as a catgirl, her ears were brown. Now they're white. Different source, I'm allowed to change my mind.

The shoes? Entirely because Cherry's first picture had her wearing them.

I tried to get away from the more traditionally used cat parts, too. Nobody has short, fluffy tails (except Plum, who takes it to the logical extreme) or rounded ears.

I hope you guys found that interesting and not boring.
