Also, there's actually a "Devour" command you can get with one of the GFs near the end. The character will eat the enemy(you just hear eating/burping noises while peaceful "nice boat" censor imagery plays

It's from Eden, who you can only draw from the Ultima Weapon side boss, or Tiamat at the last level if you missed it earlier.
Here's a video ...it's Squall eating, though. I'm pretty sure there's different sound effects, including one where they burp afterwards, but that was 15 years ago, I might be wrong.

The ultimania actually disproved it (whew). The theory had some merit but was heavily based on conjecture which is why I never bought it.
