ART SLAVE AUCTION!
with trying to figure out my headcanon for splash woman I decided to experiment with lighter colors.
it isn't that good I'm so used to drawing with darker and brighter colours so its totally different for me! although I do have to say I like blue and purple.
I'm pretty sure I'll change this a lot thinking of giving her black hair.... maybe making it shorter, maybe tentacle hair? haha I'm not sure yet
but yeah! first time drawing a fishy person..think I did ok XD

i didn't use any textures or filters. to get this effect i used a thing on photoshop called 'selective colour' it just makes it easier to mess aroud with the colours you can also do it in nearly every other program ^^

It's allot honestly, the peice as a whole is just really cute. All the elements on their own just come together to make her really pretty.
The colors work together really well, the tail looks kinda frilly (if that makes any sense) and isn't a typical "mermaid tail" (which I really like), she isn't stick thin, I love how you did the hair. Her expression is really good too. Just, the whole thing is amazing and to me really cute.

but yeah I loved drawing the fluffy tail it makes me think of light fabric in water (like when it goes all ripply) I thought it looked cute!

yes it has XD I was kinda going for an 'out of armor' stuff with my crashman one it still kinda keeps it because of the drill arms and the hat but yes I'm still working on miss splash

Yeah, Splash is hard. Most of my characters (even my AU original characters) become unrecognizable as even robots (which is why I keep their little earbud things) when they're out of their armor, so yeah. And lord, genderbending is even worse, even with armor.
Love the style though. xD So bright and shiny.

ughh genderbending is hard! XD because if you just stick them in feminine clothing it looks crappy but then you cant change them too much because they don't look like THEM! its a nightmare! XD

Yeah, when people genderbend, it's either a) They're absolutely nothing like the original design or b) They're just the original design with boobs and eyelashes.
And some people only genderbend cause they intend to pair them up, and then they turn into slutty mary sues. Which is horrible. And this is why my Crystal Woman is single forever, and totally not because her brothers would murder any guy who looked at her. x'D
