For the past few months, I've made a habit of slumming through every videogame bargain bin I can find. Now's a really, really, really good time to own a PS2.

So my latest haul brought into my collection a few games, among which were Stormfront's Demon Stone, Capcom's Devil May Cry 2, and SCEA's Rise of the Kasai.

And as I was playing them, I realized that the leading ladies in all three have dark skin, are the more athletic/sneaky of the parties they belong to, and all fight primarily with dual blades.

SO I DREW A PRETTY PICTURE!

I also wanted to try my hand at coloring without using digital lineart--what you see here is nothing but a photograph of a pen sketch with colors on top.

And speaking of, I didn't sketch this out in pencil before applying the ink, so if you see a bunch of little errors here and there concerning the anatomy or some such technical aspect...now you know why.
