Hi JJcanvas, your work is amazing!
I'm going to use it as an illustration to a short story I have just written (if it is OK for you). Of course I will quote you.
The story is written in spanish language and the title is "La Peor Tempestad" which means "The worst storm". It will be available here after the 31/05/2016: fantasiadr.weebly.com
The story is about Juan Ponce de Leon, a spanish sailor who discovered Florida and was obsessed with the fountain of youth.

If those exposed rocks are anything to go by, I wouldn't put much hope in them even beaching, much less finding a harbor. Beautifully tense.

This drawing it so amazingly unreal, i could call it ghost ship. Its just awesome.

The rig on the ship looks very small (masts too short, too much ship aft of the mizzenmast, etc.). These ships were more likely overcanvassed than underpowered. They sailed like bricks and needed every bit of help they could get.

In stormy conditions upper sails would have been struck (taken in) because they both add too much leverage to the top of the mast and are harder and riskier to take in once the weather advances. This guy would be coming into this harbour under courses (lowest sails) alone.

There appears to be no crew on deck, not even the required lookout. Adding shadowy figures all about the deck and some in the foremast rigging would seem more authentic.

Also the rectangular windows would not be found anywhere but in the transom (flat stern face of hull) because that's where the officers' great cabin is. Most 15th- to 19th-C ships did not have any side portholes at all-- they are a vulnerability both in terms of sailing safety and in battle.

The rendering of the surrounding conutryside and seascape is marvellous. I just hope that captain knows what he's doing coming this close to such rocks. (Or is the other picture, 'Crash', his sticky end?)

Very nice! May I use this in my music video? I make my own soundtracks and a lot of people said to me it sounds a bit like Pirates of the Caribbean, though I had something else in my mind

I will give you credit! I'll put a link to your DeviantArt Page.

Looks great

Btw, is it lying deep in the water (perhaps making water?) or is the ship's hull relatively long?
