VIDEO PROCESS - [link]Hello!
I made this image about 1 month ago, as part of the workshop I made for this months issue of ImagineFX. If you want to read the step by step workshop make sure you go to www.imaginefx.com and buy the magazine !!
The task was to create an epic scaled fantasy forest, hopefully I succeeded!
I also recorded the painting process and since the magazine it's out today I think it's ok to share it with you

Hey there, I'm not sure if you are aware of this or not, but thought I'd let you know. Your awesome image here of Colossal trees is being used in multiple youtube videos without crediting you. My daughter and I recognized your image right away and she said she had it on her faves.
I thought maybe you would like to know. The main video that people are referencing for their own videos is called something like "There are no forests on earth -or- There are no forests on flat earth". It seems to have really taken off recently and there are alot of vids mirroring and using the content of that original video which includes this image of yours. At least you should be credited I would think. Anyhow, I just thought I'd bring it to your attention if you didn't happen to know.
one more note: in the original video by some russian fellow... the image appears at the 7:36-7:40 mark (the video is about an hour and a half - so you don't have to search in case you wanted to check it out)

If you were, as you say, going for "epic scaled fantasy forest", you certainly succeeded. While your Yggdrasil painting might have more grandeur, this one just has so much character and atmosphere. Keeping the foreground in forest was a good touch - it makes me feel as though I'm outside looking in. Great.

Because not enough nutritiousness for it ground... and gravity doesn't allow such a tree grow, I guess so

Whoa! Awesome! Perhaps this is intentional, but this greatly reminds me of Solace and the vallenwood trees in the Dragonlance Saga.

i like colossal trees. i think there should be more of them. maybe we could even genetically modify some regular species. of course i know that that too, would have its negative repercussions in the ecosystem and we would end up being a species that lived under giant trees that covered the earth. but that wouldnt be so bad, in fact i would prefer it to city living that for sure. anyway long story short i like your picture.
