..actually, just stretching his wing. By far the most cooperative bird I've seen in quite awhile. He was just sitting on the boardwalk letting people get within touching distance without so much as a blink. Clearly the inexperience of this juvenile Double-crested Cormorant was to blame. However, I'm not complaining! I got some pretty sweet closeups.

Well thank you! They can be pretty tough - however, this particular bird almost came to me. He/she was just sitting on the railing at the boardwalk without a care in the world. (I guess you just have to know when to take advantage of certain situations.
