I've been seeing this all the time lately, it's basically a response to some new guidelines Twitter posted about their logo, some which are ridiculous such as the Twitter bird being forbidden from being depicted as a BIRD because it's a "symbol of Twitter", and that it shouldn't be portrayed with other birds... even though it was designed to look like a bird because the words "Twitter" and "Tweet" are derived from the sounds that birds make, so the whole guidelines they have feel like one big oxymoron.

If anything, it reminds me of Sega's overly restrictive and ridiculous guidelines for Sonic the Hedgehog, such as him not being allowed to cry or show strong emotions (yes, this is one of their guidelines for Sonic, they make him seem like a robot, even moreso than Metal Sonic).
