Now is this an emotive portrait, or a narrative? Perhaps an ongoing saga? This picture got an audible "oh wow" from my lips and a mischevious tremor soon followed in the form of a smile. I really believe that a title more than often ties a piece together. However, if this were named something as mundane as "wedding bells" - the point would have been conveyed nonetheless. Here you have a case, where the artwork, conveys the artwork - and does not need the aid of a title to unearth its significance.
I like the light heartedness of the picture. That was my first impression, but there is so much more that soon followed. Notably, though the children do give it a delicate chortle-like quality.. the pose conveyed by the couple is genuine, the wedding is real. As is the frustration of the kids.
The colours were perfect. They convey an almost sepia-ish quality about them. The uniformity of the black and white attire with the lamposts, and the brown bricks, are beautifully emphasised by the hard light the picture was shot against.

When you take a photograph, the actual photo is your possession. If you ask for permission to use it, this is only a polite formality. Everyone of my customers agree that their photos can and will be used to promote myself and my business.

Very nice concept. I love the two children in the corner, bored out of their skulls, and the happy couple who do not care at all, because this is their day.

^-^ This is so adorable! I really like how it looks like a prediction of the future (the kids look like smaller versions of the adults to me, ^_^ ) and how the kids look like they are trying to get away from each other a bit but the adults are trying to get closer. ^_^ Brilliant photo, I'm glad you shared it with us!
