ahaha no. they have trainers, but they wer just sitting around. there was like 3 elephants at the time just doing improv tricks. like playing soccer and stuff! it was really neat.

she runs the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai [link] and the video is the start of the traditional training the elephants go through to domesticate them. I'm not trying to rebuke you for going to see those elephants, as you obviously didn't know and must like elephants to have gone to the center, I just thought I'd show you the website as it's worth visiting (it is not some extremist animal-rights charity) and if you go back to Thailand the park is most definately worth visiting if you want to really enjoy seeing elephants

Nah, it was in Chang Mai, Thailand. Acutally to tell you the truth I can't be sure... If that conservation centre is Chang Mai, than who knows!
