Beautiful. A definite favorite. For me the blue field showing through has a bit of a disconnect with the rest of the piece, which has a rather painterly feel to it, but that doesn't really spoil it for me. More appealing to me than Lewitt.

Thanks so much. The blue... I went back and forth on it. I wanted to imply an interior with maybe sky or outer space outside. Maybe I'll look at something else there.

Yes, well it doesn't detract from the piece much for me. BTW, I have a Limited Editions Club edition of Borges great book of short stories, Ficciones, illustrated and signed by Lewitt. It is a handsome thing, but I have always been slightly bothered by the choice of illustrator - Borges wonderful short fictions are baroque labyrinths and fields of infinite recursion. Quite a contrast with Lewitt's drawings, gridded and cross-hatched depictions of basic geometric forms. Somehow it works, but it bugs me anyway.

This is like a colorful Borg cube or a Krell city from Forbidden Planet. Excellent work. A fave for sure.
