Description A render within MotionBuilder of the final Goutari model for 2010 CGI class. Tried to get to the pose I did on the color splash I did before the model was even completed: [link]
(No, I couldn't figure out how to render just an image within MoBu without the friggin grid.)

His shoulder-tails suffered the most from being so low poly. (Better than Alex did, but still. [link] ) I used an optical illusion for the eyes, they do not move on their own.

General things I would do better:
-Learn to make mouth
-Tracking eyes (Never got taught that...)
-Work more facial details into the model
-Find how to get bump/normal mapping to work properly

Specific changes for Earth/Fire:
-Rig fingers to be more claw-like (Got stuck with a finger-thumb combo that really didn't work well)
-More checks on bendability before animation

Things that went great:
-Texture/skin (Wonderful first experience with Mudbox
-Follow-me eyes worked just as planned
-Good learning experience with skin weights

Good piece. Who'd you take for 3D, London or Lee?

London, but this model was done over at UNO. I'm actually revisiting it in Lee's class this quarter.
