My apologies in advance for the unfortunate lack of Dante in this image.This is my entry for Capcom-Unity's MVC3 Paint with Greatness contest. Pretty much my best work so far (as far as posters go). I am VERY excited about this game, well, mostly just excited for the chance to play it online with friends... It's been a hot topic in our conversations lately.

NOTE: Please keep any hostile arguments about how much you think this game is gonna suck because (character) is not gonna be in it and how Capcom doesn't care for its fans because they don't everything you want they way you want it outside.

Man I wish Thor were easier to play as. He's certainly a character you gotta dedicate some time to. I love his victory animation, though.

This is bad ass man. I mean seriously, i've never seen a pic on a game that reminds me of how the game feels when i'm playing it, in this case frantic, funny and epic. insane pic, keep up the sweet work. XD

Every time I think of this game, I can't shake off the fact that it wasn't released on the Wii to make up for that crappy game "Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom"...

Crappy? I don't know man, I really like Tatsunoko V.S. Capcom. It's my favorite fighter for a Nintendo console.
And both games share similar control schemes and play style, if you didn't like TVC then I suggest you keep away from MVC3.

It's not the gameplay that I hated (In fact, I'm perfectly fine with the gameplay on all Capcom fighting games); it's the lack of recognizable characters that made it rather dull to me. That's why I wanted to see MVC3 on the Wii; at least I know ALL the Marvel Comics characters really well!

Well, TVC was obviously not meant for a conventional American audience (even though I know people who were familiar with every almost character in the roster), sorry if that made the game dull for you. It's still nice to see some fresh new faces in a 2-d fighter, not to mention the game plays well which to me is really the most important part.

What's crappy about Tatsunoko vs Capcom? I hear the gameplay is very similar between Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Tatsunoko vs Capcom actually. But what I've played of both I don't see how Tat vs Cap is crappy.

It's the lack of recognizable characters that made it rather dull; I'd only play a Capcom Vs. game if all the characters were recognizable.

Well yes the game was meant more for the japanese audience since only about 1/3 of the Tatsunoko roster is remembered by American fans and only those who grew up in the 80s-90s. Despite that I think the tatsunoko characters seem pretty cool.

What's the point of liking a character if it's from a show/movie/etc. that most people have never heard of?

I don't understand, you could research where they come. Most people tend to take interest if a character strikes them with their visual design or gameplay style, then take it upon themselves to find out more about them or at the very least learn to like and even love characters they weren't familiar with upon initially playing the game. I'm like this with several franchises that I love (first saw them in cross over games) Not everyone works like this, but its sort of close minded to write off a character simply because you don't know anything about them.

And people are still pissed about Mega Man not being in this literation, but in spirit in favor of a movepool-recycled Zero from Tatsunoko vs Capcom.
