I went a little crazy and managed to render another picture of Hel between freelance - my favorite character right now
I imagine her having more control of her body after she got to Niflheim, thus deciding to embroider her corpsy flesh and pierce it with rings. Garmr, the blood stained guardian of the realm lurks behind her.Β

The concept of Garmr's body being revealed by her cloak is SO good. I don't think I've ever seen something like that before. I like Hel's knotty musculature, too.

Her rotting half makes her look so cute and she even has a cute pet.
Did you know PokΓ©mon Jinx was based on her.
I hope when it gets a mega evolution it'll look more like hel with half of her face black and being skinny like a lifeless corpse.

I still don't get why people think it was based on blackface.
I understand the coulture had changed over the time but at that time it was considered a comedy act so people should treat it as that and not take it seriously.
Also, I havent seen any blackace artists wearing a blonde wig during the performance so I' hard to understand for me why people got so mad the developers had to change the character design.
If you use something as an inspiration then follow trough it completely instead of stopping half way trough. Imagine Hel with purple skin.
