I saw on derpibooru someone wanted to see something like this (normally, I don't give a shit what people on that site think). and since I already like the prorerty (poem, game, anime, etc.), I figured this would be an interesting challenge.

Shining Armor takes on the role of Dante Alighieri, Princess Cadance portrays Beatrice Portinari (Dante's beloved and muse), Starswirl the Bearded as Publius Vergilius Maro AKA Virgil (Dante's guide through hell and much respected master), leaving King Sombra as the obvious role of Lucifer.
