as you probably know by now, i'm deeply in favor of shipping wolverine and fluttershy. I think they would make a great couple. this pic was inspired be the first scene in the wolverine anime.
i plan on doing a standalone fanfic of them. what do you think?

Law of Hoof and Fang: part 1/4[link] A gentle night had fallen over Ponyville. The glittering stars dotted the inky curtain like distant bonfires. Crickets chirped in the damp woods of Whitetail and Everfree. Though it was hardly late in the evening, a soft stillness left the quaint little village in a perfect grace. Nowhere was this more evident than at Fluttershy's cottage.
Wolverine and Fluttershy lay on the bed together. The two lovers were in a trance of pure serenity. With her back turned to her coltfriend, she let out her breath in blissful sighs as he gently held her, ever drawing her closer to him.
There was no place more wonderful for the two to be right now than here.

Law of Hoof and Fang 2/4The party was in full swing at the Parker's residence. Most of the gang had gathered there, with the exception of Tony Stark and Psylocke. The X-mare had gone on a mission she refused to discuss while the billionaire playcolt had holed himself up in his penthouse in Mare-ibu and had not been seen in weeks. Only via his new supercomputer maid, JOCASTA, communicating with JARVIS on Twilight's laptop had they known he was alive. He had instructed them to leave him be, for reasons he was not willing to share, until he was ready to emerge from his home. So, out of respect for his wishes, all they could do was wait until he appear again.
Meanwhile, life continued on it's own journey. It seemed that there was no place more lively to be in all of Ponyville than at the Golden Oak Library. Pinkie Pie had throw a party for 'National Random Party Day'; a holiday none of the others had heard of, and one that Pinkie decided to designated 'Gablookie Day'.

question: would Kayla approve? (in case you needed a refresher: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silver_F… ) what I mean by that is, well, in the video game version of his origin story at least (X-men Origins: Wolverine: the video game), she had stated that "You always wanted to forget what you did, but if you EVER remember me, remember...I ALWAYS loved you"; granted, she did this as she was using her "hypnotic touch" ability as she says this, but in THAT version of the tale, she always herself to drown as she's sub-coming to her wounds; my take on this is that she doesn't want to be mourned: that she wants him to find someone who carries the same amount of affection that she herself held for the nearly immortal mutant but wasn't part of a big trick; yes, I know that "it wasn't all a lie", but the thing is that...well, Logan once stated that, in regards to the story involving the moon, the Trickster, and Kuekuatsheu (which translates as "Wolverine": subtle) that was told to him by Miss Silverfox herself, that "I got it backwards: I thought you were the Moon and I was your Wolverine, but your the Trickster aren't you? And I'm just the fool that got played"; thing is, he wasn't entirely wrong: yeah, it was Colonel William Stryker that organized the whole thing, but unlike in the story, where the Moon had no idea that the Trickster was antagonistic with her Love, Kayla not only knew what William Stryker was planning, but she helped him do it: she was blackmailed into it ("He *referring to Stryker* has my sister" *named Emma, who is implied to be Emma Frost/White Queen*), but still...
my best guess is that Kayla (both in the film and in the game) didn't/wouldn't want Logan to be tied down to her, to second guess the true feelings of the one he was with: her only regret was that she couldn't/wouldn't meet the one who could be there for "Her Wolverine" the way she should have been; all that said, to reinstate the question, would "The Moon" approve of "The Element of Kindness"?
...or is she not a part of the story? I just now thought of that possibility...

I saw the movie, but I never got to play the game.
She's part of the story, but she is long since dead. I'm not sure if she would really approve of anyone but herself being with Logan. It's likely that she would see kindness as a weakness, and therefore disapprove of fluttershy.

...did we watch the same movie? sorry, it's just that I seem to recall Kayla saying "You're not an animal, Logan: what you have is a gift (referring to either his healing factor/bone-claws combo or his animal empathy/senses, or both)"; also, that bit at the end of game and movie alike where she has the opportunity to make Colonel Stryker pull the gun on himself and she states, and I quote, "I should make you pull the trigger, but then that wouldn't make us any better then you"; in other words, yes: she's a bit more open to cruelty then Fluttershy would be, but I don't think she necessarily views it as a "weakness"; if anything, I think that Logan's occasional sensitivity and/or protective nature (which we see time and time again with the likes of Iceman, Shadowcat, Captain America, Rogue, Laura, and others) is one of the things that drew Kayla's true affection in the first place
so, yeah: I can see where you're coming from, but I also think that, in a way, while she might have her doubts about Fluttershy, she'd be glad that there's someone outside of the "Spirit World" (once again drawing from the story she and Logan shared) to be there for her Love whenever he feels the need to "howl at the moon," as it were...and yes: that WAS another reference the story Miss Silverfox told in the movie/game...

I've got to admit, you draw ponies better than what i do. Oh and btw, another reason on why Flora acts so different around them, it's because she misses all the times her dad has been with her, and since he mostly now spends all of his time with Fluttershy, she becomes upset every time she's all alone in her bedroom every time she thinks of her dad. Trust me, it's sad, very very sad. I had the same thing at times when I was younger.

yeah, yeah. i know it's a little weird.
but believe it or not, wolverine actually does have a soft side. the thing is it's only ever expressed with a handful of people. everyone else only sees the claws. i actually see fluttershy as an equivalent of mariko yashida. i guess i'm just weird like that.
