… At the very beginning of the night, while I was guarding near our hunting camp, a falling star crossed the sky through the horizon. Unlike usual falling stars, this one lasted much longer and some little bright spots stood out from the main ball of light. I heard soon after the beginning of the event a loud rumbling noise sounding very much like thunder and bangs as loud as thunderclaps.

Tekk cries of alarm came from the Crater for most of the night. Such agitation from them is, I must say, unusal. What these lords of the sky could be afraid of in a domain they know so well?

… Alors que je montais la garde près de notre campement à la nuit tombée, une étoile filante a traversé le ciel de part et d’autre de l’horizon. Contrairement à d’habitude, celle-ci a été plus longue que d’habitude et des points lumineux se détachaient de la boule de lumière principale. Peu après, j’ai entendu un long grondement. Avec quelques instants de décalage, un grondement extrêmement sonore très semblable à celui d'un orage et des claquements très forts semblables à des coups de tonnerre me sont parvenu.

Des cris d’alerte des tekks sont montés du Cratère pendant une grande partie de la nuit. Une agitation pareille est pour le moins inhabituelle. De quoi ces seigneurs du ciel pourraient-ils avoir peur d’un domaine qu’ils connaissent si bien ?
