They are the most difficult spells to master and only a few will truly grasp the power they have at their fingertips. What need have you of earthen armor spells when you can snap your fingers and simply teleport away? What need of fire or summoned creatures when you can altar time and make your enemies age before your very eyes?
The power of the arcanist is the power over all reality.

As for the picture, it's very cool and very well done as usual. But... I don't know, something about it just doesn't say that Koehlan there is actually using the fundamental forces of magic. But that's just me. And how the hell would you draw something like that anyway?
