Warmup today forKiss your loved ones goodbye people. I'm actually enjoying the whole painting thing... and I'm pretty sure that was one of the signs of the apocalypse.

definitely the cast member that I remember the most. I think he's probably received a bit more attention outside of X than the rest of the cast. Sad he didn't make it into the latest Dissidia.

Schweet. What's the texture on the leather, though? That doesn't exactly look speed-painty, so I figure it's a photoshoppy thing.

clipping mask with actual leather. painted the folds, highlights, and shadows so that it didn't look like a flat patch.

Alrighty. I noticed the paintovers and such, I just wasn't sure about where the bumps and creases of the leather came from, I was thinking it was like a pattern or a filter or something, but it didn't look as... regular as either of those. Not as repeatable.
But yeah, rewal stuff makes sense, too

Whoops. Yeah... if I don't catch something like that in the planning stage, it might suck to go back and fix it. Because then not only would I have to add the scar, but close his eye. But on the other hand, if I don't do it... it'll bother me to no end now... GAWR.....
