I can't possibly be the only one who loved this movie, right? Watership Down was a very interesting film that captures the essence of both survival and death. But what really caught my attention the most was its lore regarding Lord Frith and the Black Rabbit of Inle. I sure wish I could learn a lot more about them! Anyway, here is my anthro fanart depiction of the two rabbit deities!Five down, thirteen to go!

I only just got into it after watching the Netflix miniseries, but I am obsessed. I watched the original movie and it's definitely something. I'm reading the book now and am intrigued with just how different it is!

Aweome designs that clearly cover the deities' portfolios (sun and life vs. moon and death), the body markings look really cool, and the overall art style is awesome. I can see both Egyptian/Near Eastern and Mesoamerican touches to their style.
A scythe blade can remind a bit of a moon's crescent, come to think of it.
One interesting touch could be to have Inle's necklace be of little rabbit skulls, or perhaps it would be a little too grim?Β

I suppose the rabbits would see Frith as a rabbit like them, but I always assumed Frith was formless n all that, more like the sun itself. I'm curious to see how you'd design the Prince of a Thousand Enemies himself, El-ahrairah~

Totally agree, I loved the film as a kid, the book was actually based upon the author's time as a soldier during WW2 I believe, and also the persecution of the Jews as he was Jewish, a lot of the Rabbit's weird religion is based upon Judaism actually as well.
