I was thinking the same thing given that Jaune is base off someone who was burned alive.Β Hopefully the remaining members of JNPR aren't all slated to be character advancing casualties for the sake of the team RWBY.Β Β

Well thankfully, Ren's and Nora's inspirations seem a bit safer. Mulan's death isn't a very big part of her legend and Thor's only slated to die along with everyone else at Ragnarok.

Hopefully that's the case.Β I still have a bad feeling about Jaune making through the series without getting cooked.Β Β With our luck the rest of JN_R are going to end up having to make some sort of heroic sacrifice before the end of the series. I can't shake the image of Jaune getting lit on fire or Nora and Ren making some sort of sacrifice for the greater good.
Well we better keep our fingers crossed for a happier ending or at least less sad.
