Description
Kin selection is when animals give up reproducing in favor of the reproduction of their closely related kind. This behaviour is seen in eusocial or almost eusocial animals.

Here we have a species of alien that is eusocial (so employees kin selection), they are from a "primitive" ectothermic(clod blooded) clade, have four walking limbs instead of the three walking limbs seen in the more derived clade we already know. They have lost their eyestalks and their eyes are very atrophied, only sensing light. Instead of eyes they rely on smell, touch and hearing.
