My best friend had a tree house when we were both quite little. Her parents said she could have that or a trampoline. I remember watching the construction people work on it high up in the tree next to their house. My friend and I had such fun playing in it. We'd often pull up the rope ladder so her sisters couldn't come up and bother us.
Neither of us live there anymore. I found out recently that the tree house fell, and the new owners didn't bother to do anything with it. That tree house held wonderful memories. In my head, at least, it will always be new.
