Aww, hehe... Well, I didn't design it, either - it was a collaboration with ~Rei-David

Thanks I still think Diego did the hardest part, though

Cool. I will have to figure out how to render things as vectors, as I think my snowflakes would look much cleaner that way.

All you have to do is get a hold on a program like Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw, or even Macromedia Flash. That's easier said than done, though, seen as how those programs can be quite expensive when acquired completely legitimately.

No freeware, hmm? Drat. I can't even afford to update my Photoshop. *L* Ah, well, I have too little time to do what I already have the software for as it is right now.

Please give your regards to ~Rei-David , because the "massive and intricate detail" are of his design - I simply rendered it in Illustrator.

I bet it was!! It must've been a lot of work to re-create it....but the initial creation must've been a nightmare!

Yeah, I thought that right away when I saw his work. I'm like, "This would look great as a vector piece." Just the crispness and the smoothness and the sharpness... yeah, it would work really well for any "tribal"-style art, I think, unless you're going for the more rustic rugged brush-stroke feel.

What do you mean, why didn't I have a vector file? I have vector programs (Macromedia Flash and Adobe Illustrator), but a lot of vector artwork isn't necessarily presented in .swf (Flash animation) format because it isn't necessary. If it is animated vector art, then yes, it will likely be in Flash, but when it comes to non-animated vector art, the internet likes files like .jpgs and .gifs better.
Heh, yeah, I hadn't seen a tribal heart before, either, which is why I wanted to redo it for Diego.

*chuckles* I hated vectors too, but, er... Now I'm on a student team and I'm their graphic artist, and all I work with is vectors It's not that bad once you get into it, although I still can't stand the vector art of Flash...

flash vectors are evil.. aparently ther is a button ( i have yet to find it) where you scan in a perfect line image and it vectors it for you automatically.. hmmm. where this button is.. thats the myatery... Flash likes to play hide and seek...

I've never heard about that for Flash (I'm not really sure, I'm hardly fluent in the darn thing ), but I know there is an Adobe program that will turn lineart into vectors automatically for you. That's how the artist for VG Cats does his art.

Indeed. Vector art is wonderfully clean and professional looking if you can do it right... I'm not really there yet
Anyhow, I hope you left Diego a nice comment at his gallery, and didn't just mention it here to me - I bet you'd make his day
