Description Corebook artwork for Endless Realms , a D&D-like "pen and paper" fantasy RPG I'm working for.

A poster-sized illustration/chapter splash page for twisted environments, landscapes that have been warped by an excess of powerful magic in the area.  The art director suggested a party of adventurers braving a surreal forest featuring a floating lake, and somehow this came out, haha :b  The displayed image is only 10% of the actual size - working on this gave my laptop something of an aneurysm >_O

Could I just use this as as either android or computer backgrounds for personal usage only for myself on just my personal 4 devices????

it is wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would never think of just using it without asking permission!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it is just too awesome for that and toy are just too awesome of an artist to have your work abused like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I may ask about several more for just my personal not-for-sale usage if you please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Begging permission for just my personal usage only)

thank very much is it a sir or a mame?? Please your art is wonderfully awesome and I wish you had a how you draw/ shading technique worksheet I would love to learn from another artist. you are the second artist here I have commented to about that. I am a beginner and am trying to learn as much as possible from anyone willing to teach me or help me to learn.

Everything I know i learn in school or from my mother and I am a little apprehensive about showing it on line but I'll at least possibly post the drawing for comments. I'd love to hear from an artist such as yourself!!!!!!!!!!!

Ma'am  I have a number of tutorials in their own folder in my gallery, actually, if you're interested!  jocarra.deviantart.com/gallery…  Don't let your worry about being a beginner keep you from sharing and enjoying your work!

You know I was talking to my M-I-L and she is to and I think I and coming to the conclusion that most visual art are. We nit-pick at every mistake we make in our own work, even though my art teach in both high school and in college told me that there is no sch thing as a mistake in art. forgive me for being blunt "BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

*chuckles*  It's not that there aren't mistakes.  It's more that you can learn from all your mistakes, and you aren't doomed to repeat them, so you shouldn't be afraid of them.  Of course, no one likes making mistakes, but letting go of your fear of them can really help you grow

Coolness!  Love the impression of the forest being at the center of a magical vortex, resulting in the spiral theme as well as the pretzel-ed laws of physics.

Part of me would love to explore it, another part of me wonders how the remaining magics might affect me personally.  Wheee!

jocarra In reply to CarpeDraco [2016-07-30 13:21:24 +0000 UTC]

Thanks a lot :3  I like how there are, really, multiple levels of forest - there's a coniferous one at the base level, sort of crawling up the base of the super-tree like moss, then there's the super-tree itself, sort of made up of a few different trees wound together, perhaps, and then there's the "forest" created by the branches of the super-tree :b  This picture was sorta fun :V

Yeah, I wonder if people would be able to semi-float, like on the moon, or if they could "swim" through the air at all.  Maybe in a few places, nearest to the centre?

CarpeDraco In reply to jocarra [2016-07-31 05:50:36 +0000 UTC]

Yes, the multi levels are awesome!  Definitely looks fun.

Micro-gravity, perhaps?  More pronounced the closer to center you get?

Actually, I was pondering the nature of more permanent effects on the adventurer from prolonged exposure to the wild magic.

lol, makes me think of Baldur's Gate where wild magic had a chance of randomly causing unexpected results when spell-casting.  Like, instead of casting fireball, you accidentally gender-swap yourself :V

Thanks!  Heh, yeah, although I wonder how high up it is?  With everything else being as physics-defying, I could sort of see it just being above a bottomless abyss :V Just falling.  Forever.
