Bestiary artwork for Endless Realms , a D&D-like "pen and paper" fantasy RPG I'm working for.Differing from other dragon concepts in the game so far, this dragon isn't a demigod or avatar of a particular elemental or cosmic force.Β To be honest, I'm actually not too sure what the team has in mind for these guys, but asked me to come up with a ruby-themed dragon, so I decided to take inspiration from historical and pagan lore regarding rubies as relating to wealth, power and kingliness as well as health, blood and immortality.

I quite like this design. Especially the hard formed head is nice done! The Ruby-crystalline forms look quite edgy and kingly as well. Truly a wealthy dragon (and also one hard to fight... on the other hand, he will have a hard time to hide himself... not that he would need something like that).

I try to be fairly versatile with pricing when I have the chance - I actually kind of prefer the sort of "pay what you can" commissions where people say how much they have to spend, and I do what I can in the time it allows.Β However, since I've been so busy with Endless Realms stuff, freelance slots tend to be highly contested :S
