I know I haven't posted much since Dragoncon, I've been hard at work on finishing up the first issue of Indigo before NYCC. Today I took a break and attempt to draw her in Shinkawa style:[link]
He's one of my absolute favorite artists. I can only hope I captured some of what I love about his work in my piece. I went outside of my comfort zone doing something in a medium I'm not familiar with. Everything is completely traditional, I only added the halftones with photoshop. I'd like to attempt this again, I enjoyed it and I think the results were worth it,

Indigo is very much female, she's supposed to look older and masculine. It's all part of her character.
