Thank you very much!

Province of Quebec not far from the St. Lawrence River. Almost all of people are living along or not far from this River.
It is nice that it has making you think of the Prairies...

I haven't seen enough of Quebec, unfortunately!

I have not seen enough of Canada myself, unfortunately. So far I used my money to visit part of Europe...
Quebec is very big but most of it is covered with forests and lakes... except along the St.Laurent!

I've been to Montreal and Gatineau and that's all I really know about it.
Well Canada's rather large. :lol It's as expensive to cross Canada as it is to go to Europe I've heard, so a lot of people just pick Europe.

Canada is so big, and I love to go to Europe, it is beautiful, varied and so rich in history!
But I will visit Western Canada of course, until now I have visited Maritimes, Ontario and Manitoba.

Although I agree with your previous comment that this is sad, there's also a kind of dignity that a building like this emanates...It served it's purpose for many years, and stands testament to the ingenuity of the builders.
The family of those carpenters and farmers should be proud.
I think your picture is...or will be...a historical document, a recognition of the debt we have to those that worked the land, and allowed us to prosper...
Oh, did I mention it's also a beautiful picture?
Nice work.

You are right, these old buildings have a dignity, a kind of soul which make them to look so beautiful for me because of the intrinsic thoughts I have when I look at them.

I said "kind of sad" because they are abandoned after having hosted many generations of farmers. There is a kind of melancholy emanating from them. But, and I agree with you, we have a debt towards these pioneers, they have done so much for our New World, then for us.

Thank you so much for your comment and for the photo!

I love the softness of the color it has a faint golden glow against the old wood, its posture once new slowly fades as does the sun.
