Lovely shot!
The insect screen makes the view from the window so surreal ... it looks llike a piece of needlepoint embroidery! If not for the light and clarity of the reflection in his eye, I would have thought that he was inspecting a needlepoint art piece. And of course, the solid black makes a wonderful contrast to the colours beyond.

Somebody said that the screen was like a canvas - not very far from what you are saying. My mother has done many needlepoint embroideries, I understand very well what you mean. My kitty seems to look at one, indeed, good observation, I had not seen it like that!
