A Black-capped chickadee during a snow fall in a cold Winter day. They are not migrating and I am always worried they won't go through our long Winters.

Chickadees don't migrate. They are so small, I wonder how they can survive. When a bird is cold, it is swelling.

Actually, this bird is not fat. When small birds are cold (it was -10 outside), they inflate their body like that, to protect their intern organs I think.
