Description
In case there was still any confusion (as of the end of Chapter 32) about who is going to prom with who (as I've noticed comments to that nature since the day prom was first brought up in canon), I decided to make a little chart depicting all the major characters and who they'll be with (or not with).And remember: anyone in blue circles on the chart (the senior students who have uniforms with blue collars) can attend prom by themselves if they want. Everyone else (underclassmen and students from other schools) would need to be brought by a senior as a date.

Anyway, because there have been a lot of questions lately, I wanted to make this chart so I can simply refer people here if need be. Even if not, prom is still a ways away, and there's plenty of time to forget. Of course, if there are any further questions this doesn't answer, by all means, feel free to ask.

Seniors can go to Prom, period.
Seniors can also invite one opposite-sexed 'date' each.
So if you're not a senior, you can't go alone, but if you ARE a senior, you can.

Okay good to know. Is that "standard rules" in USA? In my High School in Sweden the prom was only for seniors and couples for some reason.

Most of the story prom is based on how I remember the rules from my own prom. But I've had readers say their's was completely different, and other say it was exactly like mine. Some schools allow students to go alone; some don't. Some allow non-seniors to go; some don't. Some allow same-sex pairings; some don't.
In other words, I don't think there is a standard. It seems to vary from school to school what they choose to do.

I dunno. I was homeschooled. Never went to prom, but I think it depends on the School District.
If you're going to a private school, then whoever's in charge of it can set up whatever rules they want. If it's a Public school, then you report to the local school board.
Depending on the time Rain is set in, Father Quentin may not be able to get away with harassing LGBT-students if it's a public school...but I'm not sure if anything has ever been said to the public/private nature of the school in-comic.

Most schools have prom before graduation. Typically sometime in May. Graduation happens in June

Prom night. IIRC I spent that night at home in my bedroom playing LTTP. My friends went without me and their car flipped over on the way home. No one was hurt fortunately.
