Description Acrylic, sand, and wood on canvas.
Spring 2008

A texture exercise for my first year painting class. This old chair is not long for the world so I got a little cheeky and did a very traditional portrait of it. Instead of a plain still life I wanted it to look like a nobleman from the regency period or something! Hehehe! Poor raggedy ol'e chair!

looking at it...i feel like i wanna go and sit in it, kinda like when you go to a furniture shop and see a chair that says "try me" on it. great detail!
