I think it would look better if the arms or at least one were at the side or somewhere else besides behind the back, to me with them both behind it kind of focuses to much on the body part so it looks disporportionate.
The neck seems just a little bit too thick.
Kinda agree with first post about the dress looking medieval, but I only see it looking that way in the style and not the coloring.

The face and ears look shaded carefully very nicely, it pops and draws attention to it, but the dress looks completley flat besides the top square part so compared to the face and ears kind of looks bland.
The square thing (not sure what its called..) I like whatever you did to make it different than the rest of the dress because it looks like real cloth.
Anyways these are just my opinions..
sorry this was really long

"square thing" do ypou mean shirt/smock --origonally--?? as fer length i dont mind much (exception poetry an pose) so yea

behind back--ib guess kinda focusesses on body as society tends to (yea "my thing" is kinda statementt on american culture)

look like cloth-- could that be bulk of dress or?? cause that i used "snot" (gloss/matt medium water glue machet powder an some outher stuff that i think ive still got) an added color an texture--color paints---acrylics-- texture-- graphite/charcoal shavings or like-- that was really fun

over all thanks much (semi-clueless on midevil yet tho ill see in a few as fer a class have ta look at art in 16 periods in time with art history disks --ive lucky 13 allrewady copyied to quickie-- so yea)

Sorry Im unspecific alot

By the square thing I mean the part of the dress right at the top that isnt made of cardboard (or at least doesnt look like it is) The rectangle with blue on both ends surrounding the white.
I think the reason I think it looks like cloth was because of the wrinkles(especially to the right of the rectangle) you could see in it instead of just being flat seemed more realistic to me.
&Welcome ^^

What's with the shoulder area? Is it supposed to be raised up like that, for it makes the rest of it look disjointed. The hips start too early and where are her breasts?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

jodeecmptrwiz In reply to ero-gakusei [2007-06-18 17:27:04 +0000 UTC]

the breastsa are marked by the white yea sholders are like that an i know with the hips as there wasnt enough room on the piece of cardboard(face was done first then put on cardboard) so yea like many of my outher things seems its kinda a statrementv on how society views women so yea

thanks tho

painting the floors a pretty cool idea, but do you have to be careful about how it wears?

i feel like it has a meaning, the design on the stomach of her dress looks a bit like the earth

cool idea

love the overall look of the peice, the face stands out so much its so smooth, yet dramatic, the bottom, dress part seems to be rushed to me, mayb try and take more time in all areas of the peice, but other than that looks cool

The face, hair, and ears are really good.
The rest of her could use a little work, honestly it looks like you just wanted to get it done instead of really get it good. The face has a totally different quality than the dress.
