hmmm... what was the version. I used the VistaGlazzBeta3 to patch my files... though that isn't as bad as the time my manual patch for the iexplorerui.dll and shell32.dll replacements didn't work.... everything crashed. Computer started and the loading and log in screen was fine but the entire gui went ka-poot on log in. Had to look around for my os disk (which can become the single reason why people should build their own computer in the first place because idiots don't even give those things with a new computer anymore). Do you know your restore points go up to 20 gigs? I managed mine down to 2 gigabytes...

You want computer problems? How about not being able to boot? That has an intensly shitty quality of how fucked you are.
Luckily I was able to repair the glitch (of epic fail) with Gparted boot cd and repartition my drive. The glitch was caused by have vista on the begining of the drive in 2 different partitions one 30 gig for the os and a 20 gig one for my games, data and programs. After that is the remains of what used to be a vista partition which I shrunk by blowing up vista manually (she refused to trim down the pounds by my requests) with the gparted partition manager boot cd (really damn handy I tell you). After that wasteland is the 10 gig fat32 back up of all useful stuff (or giant downloads) I wanted to keep alive if I had to blew up vista, which I did, and the less than 40 gigs of linux which was barely anywhere near full (7 gigs full with a bunch of programs that is less than vista the moment you install her on any hard drive which is 19 fucking gigs for an os itself, bulky, eh?)
Problem was Vista refused to slim down to a reasonable 60 gig (including the fat32 backup) back up os on a 140 gig hard drive... I nuked it by deleting her partition then made her 2 new partitions... then I had to reinstall her. Funny thing really, she installed her self in a way that made my linux system unable to boot and I was unable to fix the boot despite the fact I tried every reocvery option out there. (Grub boot loader disc and the ubuntu recover broken system option) so I reinstalled the linux after connecting my old (and dying) xp computer hard drive to recover some book marks (hey I had the time)...
... I lost the ability to boot my computer, Grub (a boot loader) did not boot. Grub determines which os to boot on my computer via my command. Without grub my computer is a brick.
Turns out after I moved the fat32 next to the windows partition and expanded the linux partition up to the fat32 backup and close the gap of desolation (via gparted boot cd) grub booted. I hypothisize that since grub is located in the linux partition it could not be detected or only partially loaded and the abyss in the middle of the hard drive was causing the trouble. Yay for problems that make blue screen look like gnat on a windshield.
