I don't use GIMP anymore. xDDD I used it for a LOT of stuff though and still use it for animations. I use SAI now. But you can get kind of the same effects with GIMP. xDD

Its really easy to use if you can get it in English. xDDDD :3 It can give your picture a really soft look and makes coloring easier.
