No I created it in Apophysis and used it as a texture material.

oh, I thought that might have been the case, after looking at a few more of your images. I'm on a Mac so I've only looked at Apophysis - never really tried it out though; think I'm going to have to try and find a Mac solution. I've been working with Blender since about '06, on and off, and want to try doing more abstract work with it.
