You did this work? Omg! I'm a huge fan of the series and the artwork (not so much tyhis installment of it though) But I do own it. I'm in Illustration and Design at Dawson College, working towards getting into the gaming industry as a concept artist. The stuff I have on here isn't my best, infact I barely use this site to upload my art. Still, very nice to (sort of) meet the person repsonsible for these wonderfull works!

Isn't only "Metroid" the name of the franchise? Oh well, Metroid Prime is a subseries in the Metroid continuity.

The armor looks great but I think it's a shame to mask the fine work you did with her face so for that reason I'd go with the first version.
