Neither, everything from the ground up is created and carefully recreated to match the original character and concept art as close as humanly possible. IF (and that's a BIG IF) I were to use another model, the resource and creator would be noted and credited.

I'm thinking about overhauling her, this was only done in 640x480@72 software render. I may silently update her to 1280x800@300 VRAY to really make her details shine. Down the road of course I have a lot of projects on my plate currently.

Figured If I'm going to model an icon such as Samus, I better do it right. I had to make sure to get her close as possible, after looking at dozens of pictures of Samus I think I got her just right.
